Cloud 9 Cycles is a central London bicycle shop with a passion for custom built bikes. We have a frame building workshop and fitting studio downstairs with our showroom and workshop situated upstairs. We build frames from steel for all disciplines of cycling with the aim to give the rider a great experience throughout the entire process, from fitting and initial consultation to delivery of the finished bike. At the show we will be displaying a variety of frames to inspire and excite.

Bike Science was established in March 2010 by Andy Sexton. Andy has over twenty five years of competitive biking experience and over twenty years as a triathlete. While working at Planet X he identified the need to be able to offer accurate, professional bike fitting services to riders wishing to buy bikes without being able to try the actual bike for size first and riders wishing to optimise their riding position to increase performance, avoid injury or improve comfort. He started Bike Science with these aims in mind.

London based Condor Cycles with its store on the Gray’s Inn Road has been serving London’s cycling community since 1948. Each frame in the Condor range is now hand built at their factory in Italy. Despite Condor having strong ties with the racing scene, the range includes bicycle frames for commuting, touring and track made from steel, aluminium, titanium and carbon. Condor is a family run business and continues the ethos that there should be no compromise between performance, quality construction, beautiful ride and style.

Craddock custom carbon fibre frames are made to measure in the UK. The geometry and laminate are tailored to suit each rider for the best possible fit and feel. All frames are made in-house at the Craddock composites workshop in Worcestershire which is equipped for machining, fixturing, laminating, moulding and curing. I use specialist materials sourced from companies supplying the F1, aerospace and marine sectors. The laminate specifications for the tubes and joints are the product of an extensive R&D and testing process, making frames that are built for an excellent ride.

As designer, Ken took inspiration from the curve in a cyclist back as they ride, to develop a unique frame design. This design is handcrafted by a small team of highly skilled professionals in the company’s factory in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Each bike is made to a customer’s individual specifications and measurements.
This unique bicycle brings together the best in design, technology, and manufacturing to make a machine that is perfect for leisure riding and your daily commute, but which looks so good you might be tempted to hang it on your wall instead. You certainly wouldn’t be the first customer to do so.

August Bicycles has evolved from the renowned UK wheel building operation August Wheelworks, to offer bespoke frames alongside quality wheel services. The Bespoked 2016 show sees the August Bicycles order book officially open after a year of building for R&D purposes and just as with his wheel builds, Gavin Buxton seeks to offer a totally personalised and custom service that will see bicycle enthusiasts coming back for many more 'new bike days'.

Darren Baum trained and worked as a certified aircraft engineer and stainless steel TIG welder before becoming a frame builder. His cycling career began as an A grade rider before a car accident in 1990 sparked a long-term interest in how biomechanics and bike design can be used to increase performance. Before Carbon was established in April 2015 after 3 years of research and studies.
The designation refers to a happy and productive period in the Italian industry for bicycles, and it’s precisely that time period that we are inspired by and want to carry on.
Frames and bicycles were exclusively made by hand, sometimes even tailor-made, as were cranks, fenders, handlebars and saddles, all made in Italy but sometimes also in Europe.

The story of the most famous steel tubes in the history of cycling began in 1919 when A.L. Colombo founded his steel plant with the ambition to “to do business in iron and steel and make a fair and honest profit,”. The result was the history of cycling as we know it: legendary tube sets AIR, MAX (first tube-set to break the tradition of conventional diameters and introduce concept of orientated ellipses and differentiated sections), SL, SLX, NIVACROM (EL and Genius), Altec, Starship and Spirit right up to the most 2009’s XCR, the world’s first ever tubeless stainless steel tube set which allows for the production of a steel frame competitive (and out-performing in some categories) at the highest level of the sport on all levels: weight (sub-1400g), rigidity, fatigue resistance and of course the remarkably superior handling of steel.

Blacksmith Bikes designs and hand builds custom race, touring and mountain bike frames. These frames are build using Reynolds Columbus or Dedacciai tubing. Most common building method is trough TIG welding. Also filled brazing and lugged methods are a possibility. The geometry can be completely tailored to the customer as can the tube choice. Ben Thomson mechanic of 20 years and former frame builder has owned Cycleworx for the last 9 years. Cycleworx is a specialist shop that imports and distributes many unique products such as Abbey Bike Tools, Flexroute, IRD freehweels, rims, cassettes and Soma Fabrications racks and accessory's.

Burls bicycles have been building and designing beautiful steel and titanium custom bicycles for the last 20 years. Over the last 10 years we have focused on designing bespoke titanium frames built for us by our small team of Russian craftsmen with life long experience of working with ti. We offer just about any configuration of build, including Road, Audax,Track,Cyclo cross and MTBs of all types, as well as complete builds, or framesets only, and a range of stunning  components to compliment our bicycles.

Boo frames·are built using a tube-to-tube construction method. ·All tubes are hand-cut and chiseled to fit together perfectly in the jig before they are·bound together with unidirectional carbon fiber. ·Tubes are hollowed to a·3-5mm wall thickness (dependent on frame size and type) for weight savings and stiffness tuning. ·The average Boo frame takes·40-50 hours of hand labor to construct.
